IMPORTANT NOTICE

  1. All clients who have acquired other citizenships should either regain/declare their citizenship and wait for approval from the Immigration Department, Nairobi before applying for a new Kenyan passport. CLICK HERE
  2. All clients are advised to submit only the exact amount of the official fee for the service required in the form of money order or bank certified cheque. Our accounting system is operated on money order and bank cheque system which makes change refund difficult. Applicants who submit more or less amount will be called upon to resubmit the exact amount which may cause delay.
  3. All applications for replacement or renewal of Kenya passports and issuance of any Kenya travel documents including Emergency Certificates are to be submitted by the individual Kenyan applicants, parents or legal guardians for the minors (under 18 years old) and persons with medically certified incapacity. Application forms should bear appropriate official signatures.

The Kenyan passport is a Government document issuable to Kenyan citizens only. Subject to Immigration Circular ref. No. 351221269 as of December 21st, 2006:

  1. From 1st January, 2007, All new Kenyan passports issued will be valid for 10 years.
  2. Passports already in circulation shall be replaced on expiry.

New Passport Application 

Requirements:

  • Application letter (cover letter)
  • Current Original passport.
  • Two copies of second generation Kenyan ID
  • Two copies of Birth Certificate (certified copy of Birth Certificate for children born outside Kenya)
  • Two copies of fully and correctly completed prescribed application form (Form 19) Click to download .
  • Two copies of Bio Data Page of Kenyan passport
  • Three passport sized-photographs (size 2.5″x 2″).
  • Money Order or Bank Certified Cheque made payable to the “Kenya High Commission as follows:-
    •  C$ 75.00  for a 32 page passport
    • C$110.00 for a 48 page passport
    • C$140.00 for a 64 page passport
    • NOTE: PERSONAL CHEQUES,  AND CASH ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
  • In addition to the above requirements, please note that children under 18 years of age require parental consent (click here to download the form)
  • Two copies of applicant’s Immigration Status in Canada (Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc).
  • Additional documentary proof of Kenya citizenship may be required.
  • Pre-paid Self-Addressed Return Courier Envelope for Xpresspost.
    • Note: Other courier services  such as Fedex/UPS must have a computer-generated label.

Kindly ensure that photos attached on Form 19  have the following:

  • Be clear photos – they should not be blurred nor have a dark hue, all facial features should be clearly outlined
  • Have a full face and both ears showing
  • Be taken against a white background
  • Be without shadows in the background
  • No smiling or laughing
  • Be taken without spectacles
  • Size of the face should be 2.5 (two and a half) inches by 2 inches
  • Weaves and hair should not cover the forehead or the rest of the face
  • Decent photos – ladies should not be wearing  strapless tops
  • Attach at least 3 photos

New Passport for Children Born Abroad  to Kenyan Parents

Requirements:

  • Application letter (cover letter)
  • Two copies of parents Kenyan passport (bio-data page)
  • Two  colour copies of parents second generation Kenyan ID
  • Two copies of parents Kenyan Birth Certificate
  • Two certified copies of child’s Birth Certificate (if born outside Kenya)
  • Two copies of fully and correctly completed prescribed application form (Form 19) Click to download .
  • Three passport sized-photographs (size 2.5″x 2″).
  • Money Order or Bank Certified Cheque made payable to the “Kenya High Commission as follows:-

Lost or Mutilated Passport Form

Particulars of a lost passport Form (1)

Requirements:

  • Application letter comprehensively explaining when, where and the circumstances under which the passport got lost or mutilated.
  • Two copies of Police Report in case of a lost passport
  • Two copies of Sworn Affidavit done before a Commissioner for Oaths declaring the passport lost or mutilated.
  • Two copies of fully and correctly completed prescribed application form (Form 19) Click to download .
  • Three passport- sized photographs (size 2.5″X 2″) with one photo signed at the back by your recommender ( Refer to note nos. 2 & 3 in the application form)
  • Money Order or Bank Certified Cheque of C$ 240 for a lost passport or C$ 200 for a mutilated passport made payable to the “Kenya High Commission”
  • NOTE: PERSONAL CHEQUES OR CASH,  ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
  • Two copies of your Immigration Status in Canada ( i.e Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc).
  • Additional documentary proof of Kenya citizenship may be required if necessary
  • Pre-paid self addressed return courier envelope from Xpresspost (it should have a tracking number).

  • For walk-ins, we accept debit cards/visa card/mastercard or American Express.
